A case of cor triatriatum with pregnancy: an anaesthetic challenge.

چکیده
Pre-anaesthetic evaluation revealed a 50 kg female with no obvious dyspnoea. Central cyanosis was present; heart rate was 136/min and blood pressure 130/90 mmHg. Her renal and liver function tests and coagulation profile were normal. 2D echocardiography with Doppler showed severe pulmonary arterial and venous hypertension with a left ventricular ejection fraction of 55%. Anti-aspiration prophylaxis and infective endocarditis prophylaxis were administered. Continuous ECG, non-invasive blood pressure and pulse oximetry (SpO 2 ) in addition to central venous pressure (CVP) were monitored.

Cor Triatriatum Sinistrum Presenting as Cyanotic Congenital Heart Disease A Rare Case Report
Cor triatriatum is an acyanotic congenital heart disease. We present a rare case of cor triatriatum sinistrum in a 6-month-old female infant who was presented with cyanosis and failure to thrive. The 2D transthoracic echocardiography and the Doppler color flow imaging showed a proximal venous chamber communicating to the distal left atrium through restrictive opening to the low-pressure, dis...
متن کاملClinical follow-up of a pregnant woman with cor triatriatum.
Cor triatriatum (CT) is a rare congenital cardiac anomaly that usually becomes symptomatic in the first years of life. If the condition is not associated with other cardiac defects, and depending on the degree of communication between the upper chamber and left atrium (LA), patients may reach adulthood. We report a case of an asymptomatic, adult, female patient with CT diagnosed by transthoraci...
متن کاملAnaesthetic management for balloon dilation of cor triatriatum dexter in a dog
A three-month-old female Rottweiler puppy was referred for intravascular correction of a previously identified cor triatriatum dexter. Echocardiography confirmed the presence of a hyperechoic membrane that divided the right atrium into a cranial and caudal chamber. A foramen in this membrane allowed the blood to flow from the caudal to the cranial chamber. Balloon dilation of the defect under t...
متن کاملPseudo Cor Triatriatum Sinistrum due to Dilated Coronary Sinus in Association with Supramitral Ring
We herein describe a 34-year-old woman with a persistent left superior vena cava (PLSVC) impinging on the posterior wall of the left atrium, subdivided by a membrane at the distal part of the impingement. In this patient, a much dilated coronary sinus due to the PLSVC resulted in a membrane-like structure in the posterior wall of the left atrium with the appearance of the cor triatriatum in tra...
متن کاملCor triatriatum presenting as heart failure with reduced ejection fraction: a case report
Cor triatriatum is a rare congenital cardiac malformation and it usually refers to the left atrium. We report an unusual case of cor triatriatum in a 33 - year old woman presented with congestive heart failure caused by left ventricular systolic dysfunction.
